Red Bull Wololo: Londinium crowns Hera and MarineLorD
Red Bull Wololo: Londinium concluded on April 6th with Hamzah ‘Hera’ El-Baher and Alexis ‘MarineLorD’ Eusebio winning the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV titles, respectively.
According to a release, the event took place across multiple London venues before ending at the Royal Albert Hall, which Red Bull said was the first time the venue had hosted an esports event.
The eighth edition of the tournament featured a combined $250,000 (~£196,000) prize pool and brought together 12 players from across the Age of Empires competitive scene. Red Bull also stated that the event recorded peak viewership of more than 110,000, surpassing the previous edition.
The tournament’s final day saw both championship matches played in front of a live audience of 3,000 fans. According to the release, the Grand Final also featured a 60-piece live orchestra performing music from the Age of Empires series during the closing matches.
In the Age of Empires IV final, MarineLorD defeated Wam01 after what Red Bull described as a closely contested series. In Age of Empires II, Hera completed a reverse sweep against Liereyy, recovering from a 3-0 deficit to win five games in a row and secure the title. Red Bull Wololo: Londinium began with a group stage featuring eight Age of Empires II players: Hera, Hearttt, Yo, MbL, Liereyy, TheViper, Sebastian and ACCM.
Play then moved to the Odeon Luxe Cinema in Leicester Square, where the Age of Empires IV competition featured MarineLorD, 1puppypaw, Wam01 and VortiX. The Age of Empires II playoffs also took place at the venue before the event’s final stage at the Royal Albert Hall. According to the release, Red Bull introduced new maps designed specifically for Londinium. The maps will also be made available in-game following the event.
The event was supported by monitor brand AOC, which served as Red Bull Wololo: Londinium’s official gaming monitor partner through its AGON by AOC line. UK-based technology company Scan also supplied the high-performance PCs used during the competition.
Red Bull Wololo remains one of the longest-running tournament brands in the Age of Empires ecosystem, with Londinium marking another large-scale live event for the real-time strategy title as publishers and organisers continue to explore premium arena experiences for esports audiences.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
