Oscar Winner Michael B. Jordan Confirmed for Battlefield Movie
With various video game adaptations being announced one after another, the film adaptation of EA’s multiplayer shooter ‘Battlefield’—long considered a likely candidate—has been officially confirmed.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, director Christopher McQuarrie will write, direct, and produce the Battlefield film. Since his 2012 debut with ‘Jack Reacher,’ McQuarrie has directed the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ over the past 12 years. He has visited Korea multiple times while filming numerous projects alongside Tom Cruise.
Additionally, while his specific role has not yet been confirmed, it has been announced that Michael B. Jordan—the star of the four-time Academy Award-winning film ‘Sinners’ and an Oscar winner for Best Actor—will participate in the project. Local speculation suggests that Jordan is the frontrunner for the lead role.
